About MBHS
Founded in 2025 by Maryland students, for Maryland students — building a statewide community of young business leaders.
Bridging youth and the small business community.
The Maryland Business Honor Society was founded in 2025 by a group of high school students who saw a gap between classroom learning and the real world of Maryland's small businesses. What began as a single chapter has grown into a statewide network of student leaders, mentors, and community partners.
"MBHS exists to bridge the gap between youth and the small business community — empowering high school students to develop entrepreneurial and business leadership skills."
Through mentorship, chapter events, community service, and statewide summits, MBHS members graduate with more than a cord — they leave with a network, a portfolio of real projects, and the confidence to lead.

What we stand for.
Leadership
We elevate student voices into decision-making roles — officers, committees, and chapter presidents run MBHS.
Entrepreneurship
We celebrate risk-taking, creativity, and the courage to build something new — from pitch nights to launch grants.
Service
We give back to the Maryland businesses and communities that invest in us — through volunteering and pro-bono student work.
